Tips for Online Fundraisers

Our Annual Support-A-Walk on October 1, 2023 was an amazing event with people across the country walking and showing their support. As always, the day was marked with beautiful messages of celebration, remembrance and inspiration. To those who walked, donated, and raised funds, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are so very grateful.

Important Note

Your fundraising page continues to accept donations through the end of this year!

While the Walk is over, our work continues. Day after day, all year long, Support Connection provides critically needed support programs and services to women and their families who are coping with the challenges of a breast, ovarian, or other gynecological cancer diagnosis.

We won’t give up, and we hope you don’t either! It’s not too late to reach out to friends, family, colleagues … everyone you know! Don’t stop until you reach your goal!

Here are some fundraising tips for AFTER the Walk:

Tell people it’s not too late

In all of your outreach, tell people your page is still accepting donations until December 31, 2023, and the sky’s the limit!

Didn’t meet your goal?

Don’t give up! Let people know. Ask them to help you reach it!

Did you walk?

Tell people what an amazing day it was for you and why. If you took photos, share them in your emails or put one on your fundraising page. Share your pictures and stories with us, too! Email them to walk@supportconnection.org

Tribute donations

Let people know they can donate in honor or memory of someone in their life. And we will gladly send an acknowledgment, too!

Give thanks

Don’t forget to thank everyone who donated. Tell them the impact they’ve had on the many thousands of people fighting breast, ovarian, and gynecological cancer and their families, too. Ask them to forward your page to others who may want to help.

Link to your page

Remember to always include the link or URL to your fundraising page so people can easily donate. The URL is the address at the top of your fundraising page.

Matching Gift reminder

Matching gift applications can be submitted even after a donation has been received. This is the BEST way for donors to double or even triple their contribution to Support Connection.

Ask your employer if they have a Matching Gift program. Support Connection is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit. Please also share this info with your donors!
