Why Teams are important.

Forming or joining a Team is one of the best ways to make the Support-A-Walk a success. It’s the multiplier effect: A group of Team members all working for a common cause will have a greater impact than you can have by yourself.

What is a Team and how do I start one?

A Team is a group of people who decide to work together to raise funds for the Support-A-Walk. They choose a Team name, then everyone on the Team seeks donations for the Team.

A Team can have as many members as you’d like. Invite family, friends, co-workers to join you. You don’t even have to walk to be part of a Team.

Team members can live near or far.

Team members don’t need to live or walk in the same place. A Team can be spread across the country, with everyone reaching out into their own communities for donations. Everyone who wants to walk can do so in their town, city, neighborhood, or even on a treadmill at home!

Have fun with your Team!

Teams can be fun! You can be creative and design your own team t-shirts or banners. Share photos of yourselves and your creations on social media. And send them to us at so we can share them too! You can also enter our contests for best Team t-shirt and best Team Banner.

Team members can also look for unique and fun ways to raise funds and spread awareness. You could hold a sporting event or tournament… a tag sale… a bake sale… the possibilities are endless! We’re happy to help with tips and ideas.
