Side by Side for 25

By Bill Powers, Powers PR Video

This beautiful video was created especially for our 25th Annual Support-A-Walk which took place on Oct. 6, 2019.

Through moving interviews and wonderful photos, it tells the story of how the first Walk came to be – the people who made it happen – how it has grown over the years – and the huge difference it has made in the lives of thousands of people.

Then and now, the Support-A-Walk is an amazing event that brings help and hope to people dealing with breast and ovarian cancer. We are so grateful to Bill Powers of PowersPR Video for producing this incredibly special tribute for us!

An Insight Into Breast Cancer

By Frankie Heagle

This video was produced in 2014 by Frankie Heagle, a young man whose mother reached out to Support Connection for support when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The project earned Frankie his Eagle Scout status, with Boy Scout Troop 165, Yorktown Heights, NY.

The goal of Frankie’s project was to raise awareness, especially among young people, about the importance of breast cancer screening and early detection. He wrote and produced the video himself, enlisting other teens to participate in the filming. Once completed, Frankie showed his video at several high school health classes and presented it to Support Connection for sharing.
